Still trying to figure it out

 House Guests

I was woken up early this morning with the smell of wood smoke. The smoke had penetrated the entire house, what a horrible stink to wake up to. The house wasn’t on fire or any thing like that. My daughter A and her boyfriend R spent the night. R didn’t how to use a woodstove, he didn’t know what a damper was. Now A on the other hand does but she never was one to put wood in the stove. Hopefully they can put wood in the stove tonight without stinking up the house. A and R are not getting along with his sister (she just had a baby) and his mother (she thinks the sister can do no wrong). The sister is and has treated both of them badly for two years now. The mother and father whose house they live in, it’s a big nice house with a big basement. The basement is like a house for the kids. They had no problem till the mom and dad dumped the sister down there, (they can’t deal with her either) but she has a baby and no husband and they can’t throw her out. It looks like A and R will be staying in my little house until they find a place to live on there own. I hope our two bedrooms will hold 5 adults for a while. We will make due we always have.
Well I need to make room and get things together.
My mom always said they will be back, now it’s my turn. Gotta lov'em.

 Is Racism getting better?

I do think racism is getting better in America. I work with preschool children as a bus monitor. We have one bi-racial boy on the bus, he gets on at a baby sitters with a white boy. The two boys are both five years old and are best friends. Both boys are very outgoing and little chatterboxes. I only point out their skin color to make this point. The children all get along and no one has ever said anything even close to a racist comment. The children are being taught every one is different but the same. These children are the next generation and I have high hopes they will not be racist.

 Pain stops you from living

Pain makes you feel
old beyond your years.

Pain that hurts so much
it brings you to tears.

Pain when it’s
you’re biggest fear.

Pain why can I
feel you so near.

Pain I want you to go
but you are staying
you’ve made that clear.

Pain I want to be free
but the cost is too dear

 But we live in America.

All true and all sad in Africa.

But we live in America.

In America millions of people
have no health care.

In America children are
dying in foster care.
Being murdered by there
foster parents.

In America old people
are eating cat food
to live.

In America jobs are
going over seas.
America families
are starving.

In America Americans
are dying of AIDS.

America should take
care of Americans first.

American tax money
should be used in
America.

When America takes
care of it's own
people first,
Then America can
reach out and help
other countries
and only then.

Have a heart take care
of Americans in America.
