 Pet Peeve People Who Lie

I’m sitting here waiting patiently for my computer to run through You Tube, so I can watch it without it starting and stopping.
I was thinking about a few pet peeves of mine.
I think the one that bothers me most, is for someone to lie to me. The dictionary’s definition of the word lie is as follows:

1) a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.

2) to speak falsely or utter untruth knowingly, as with intent to deceive.

I don’t understand why some people are dishonest, once a person tells me a lie I find it hard to believe anything else they say. And it seems that these people never stop at just one lie, oh no they will smile while lying through their teeth to you repeatedly. If a person can/will lie about little nothings, what would he/she be capable of if something was important to them? When a person tells a lie to me, I feel like he/she is disrespecting me. I don’t know who these people think they are fooling maybe themselves. Because it’s certainly not me, I dislike untruthful people. I work with a few people who would not know the truth if it was a snake and jumped up and bit them. Sorry I needed to get that out of my head, to get on with my day and hopefully have a good one.

 Lunar Eclipse

We live in a world that seems so ordered; the Sun rises, goes across the sky and then sets. The Moon goes through its phases from new to full and back again. It all seems like clockwork, and then, something unusual happens that seems to throw the orderly timing of the cosmos into chaos. On a night when the moon rises full and beautiful, it starts to change, at first it is so subtle few notice it. But then, every so slowly, the moon begins to dim, and more alarming yet, it disappears.

There are actually several type of lunar eclipses, total, partial and penumbral. The eclipse on March 3, 2007 was the best kind, a total lunar eclipse. This kind can only take place when the Earth passes directly in front of a full Moon, thus casting its shadow on the Moon's surface. It may seem a magic show of shadow and light and a disappearing act by the Moon, we know how the "magic" works, but we can still appreciate the beauty.

During a lunar eclipse you will occasionally get to see the Moon actually appear to change colors. This is quite a treat and is something you won't soon forget. The reason that the Moon appears to change colors is that the dust in Earth's atmosphere is acting like a light prism and refracting, or bending, the light that strikes the Moon

Hupa Indians of northern California
The Moon is a man, who has twenty wives and a house full of pets consisting of mountain lions, bears and snakes. To feed his pets, the man goes out to hunt. After the hunt he carries all the game back to his house for his pets, but they are not satisfied with what he has brought them. In anger, the pets attack the man, who begins to bleed. The Moon turning a reddish color during a lunar eclipse represents this. One of the Moon's wives is Frog and when she sees the predicament her husband is in, she rushes to help him. Frog beats away the pets. Then she and the other wives collect up the Moon's blood and he can then recover.

Photos Taken: Saturday March 3, 2007 Minnesota

The pictures are from the web tonight, as it was too
cloudy to view the Lunar Eclipse for my home.

There are two solar and two lunar eclipses to occur
in 2007 the dates as follows:

 2007 Mar 03: Total Lunar Eclipse
 2007 Mar 19: Partial Solar Eclipse
 2007 Aug 28: Total Lunar Eclipse
 2007 Sep 11: Partial Solar Eclipse

 My House

Let’s see I know I can’t keep getting away with copying and pasting my posts. Although the words are real nice and have feeling there not mine, I would like to say they do reflect how I feel. Today was not starting out to be a good day and then I met and talked to a nice person. Talking with him made my day better. I know I sound like I’m a head case but now you all know the truth I am a nut. I enjoy talking and getting to know people I think you can never have too many friends.

The wind has kicked up outside my house and it’s really howling today. I live in an older home and the windows aren’t airtight. The wind outside inspired me to write a poem I'm warning you in advance it’s nothing fancy.

My House

I have a home it may not be the best.
My simple little house is my nest.
I have a place to lay my head and rest.
My little house welcomes all guests.
Those in my house have been put to the test.
I pray those in my house are always blessed.

Have a great week end!!!

 Thought for the day Friendship

Friendship There's a miracle of Friendship that dwells within the heart, And you don't know how it happens or where it gets its start... But the happiness it brings you always gives a special lift, And you realize that Friendship Is God's most perfect gift. -Jean Kyler McManus Blueeys
